My Idea of a Healthy Relationship

Being in a relationship can be very difficult, but there are tips to make your relationship stronger that actually works! It’s mostly difficult for people that’s never been in a relationship or never felt the love from their partner. At times do you feel like you’re drifting away from your partner? Here are some simple tips that I’ve came up with that may help you now or in the future!

Communicate!

Many of us that’s been in a relationship, or in one knows what it means to communicate. With any relationship in the world, you have to be able to communicate. Although we may know, some of us don’t take advantage of communicating. This is the ultimate top tip to make your relationship stronger, you’ve got to be able to communicate. You’ve got to be able to talk to one another and be able to work things out.

I’m a true believer in talking things out. Not every conversation you’ll have will lead to a huge fight. That’s when you and your partner sit and come to an agreement without the yelling and getting physical. If you don’t, then you’ll never be able to move forward and never be able to truly get passed your problems. Always discuss your issues face to face or on the phone. Avoid discussing your issues through text messages.  Text messages can easily be misinterpreted

Learn each others Background!

Knowing your partners background will allow you to know what you’re dealing with. It’s important to know where they’ve come from and past relationships. Also know your partner’s race or ethnicity, socioeconomic background, religious beliefs, and family beliefs. This can complicate a relationship and cause both partners a lot of stress.

Spend one on one TIME and Show some Affection!

With extremely busy schedules spending TIME can be easily overlooked. I truly believe time can be made for something you want or love. There is nothing compared to being one on one with your partner. That allows you to get to know more about each other without interruptions. Another necessity in a relationship and another tip to make your relationship stronger is to be affectionate with each other! Holding hands while you are out shopping or giving a few kisses during a movie or whatever activity you’re engaging in are the simple things you can do to show your partner some affection. You can also give messages. I don’t know who would let a message slip by them! I’ll take one any time! At times it can be annoying but there is a time and a place.

Be Romantic

Being romantic only on Valentines Day is a HUGGGGGGGGGEEEE NO NO in my book. Get into the habit of being romantic a little bit more often than one holiday. You can choose any day of the week to show your partner you are thinking about them. Do simple things like leave them a note, cook together, plan extravagant dates, play or watch sports together, and you can also give random gifts.

Remove Cell Phones

Cell phones can ruin relationships. When you’re together spending time cell phones should be tucked away. Calls, text messages, emails, Facebook post, Instagram and Tweets can WAIT. It’s almost like you’re neglecting your partner when you take your attention away from them to check your phone.

Family and Friends

Spending time and getting to know your partners family means a lot to your partner. If they take you around that shows their love for you right??? It’s very important to get to know your partners family. You can always include them in the surprises you may want to plan. The same thing goes for friends. Besides the one on one time, its OK to include friends. They are the next think closest to your partner. To grow with your partner I think its important to grow with their fiends too. Also be open to allowing your partner to spend time alone with their friends. They were around before you! Try not to be too protective. That will get you dumped and heartbroken quickly LOL! Although you may wish to be very close with their friends and family try not to let them interfere with your relationship as much as possible. I’m a private person. If me and my other half are having issues I prefer our friends and family not get involved. That’s just extra opinions and drama added to our relationship.

Building

When you are in a relationship, to make stronger is to make sure that you are on the same page when it comes to future plans. This goes back to spending time and communicating! Those simple steps leads to building. Building to me is almost like planning. Do you plan to get married? Do you plan to have kids? Do you plan to buy a house ect? All of this is part of building as a couple.

 Lastly GET OFF SOCIAL MEDIA!

LOL I’m just kidding. Although social media can be known for breaking happy homes, it’s all up to you and what you allow social media to do to your relationship. I do recommend limiting your posts with or of your significant other. In a way its keeps people out of your business and guessing at the same time. But I also think its ok to show off your boo thang! Especially if he or she are cuteeeeeee!
