‘Harlem’ Renewed For Season 3 At Prime Video

Sis, ‘Harlem’ has been renewed for a third season at Amazon Prime Video and I am so excited.

Growing up, we dreamed of being like the women on Sex and the City but, if you are a millennial woman of color with big dreams in a big city, trying to maintain life, and relationships all while facing mental health issues.. Harlem is one of the many shows you should be watching.

This dramedy is about four ambitious best friends Meagan Goode as the academically talented Camille; Grace Byers as Quinn, an aspiring fashion designer who’s figuring out her sexuality; Shoniqua Shandai as Angie, an up-and-coming actress with a bombastic personality; and Jerrie Johnson as Tye, an app founder and workaholic searching for inner peace.

All of these ladies are navigating new phases of their careers, relationships and big city dreams together in New York. Of course along the way they face obstacles and success when it comes to their careers, love lives, and more.

Harlem is created, written, and executive produced by Tracy Oliver, an American screenwriter, actress, and producer best-known as the co-writer of “Girls Trip” Little and BET+’s “First Wives Club. She is currently one of the primary screenwriters and producers opening doors for Black women in the film industry.

“The only thing more fun than making season 2 of Harlem was getting to travel across the country and watch it with our fans!” said Oliver.

“Thanks to everyone who showed up to support and watched it at home! We’re so grateful for all the love and can’t wait to bring you an even juicier season three.”

The comedy filled show is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Universal Television, in association with Paper Kite Productions. In addition to Oliver, Paper Kite’s Amy Poehler and Kim Lessing also serve as executive producers, alongside 3 Arts’ Dave Becky, Britt Matt, Pharrell Williams and Mimi Valdés.

Harlem has continued to tell outrageously hilarious stories through the perspective of these uniquely special characters. Fans can look forward to more laughs, wit, and cultural commentary from the brilliant mind of Tracy Oliver and the amazing cast, Meagan, Grace, Jerrie, and Shoniqua,” added Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios.

According to Sanders this critically acclaimed series has been embraced by so many and it is a privilege to bring season three to our global Prime Video customers.

“Tracy Oliver has built an alluring world full of style, humor and dazzling characters, plus exceptional performances by this talented cast.”
