From Pen to Mic: What Week Three of The Morning Aux Means to Me

RJV Media Lab

Whew. Week three.

That’s three weeks of early mornings, fast-paced energy, music that feeds your soul, and conversations that hit like a real group chat. The Morning Aux is officially in full swing, and I still can’t believe I’m saying that out loud… as one of the hosts.

If you know me, you know I’ve always been a behind-the-scenes girl. As a writer, journalist, and publicist, I’ve built a career amplifying other people’s stories. But now? I’m telling my own live, on air, and on camera. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7AM–9AM.

This space is new for me but, it’s also necessary.

There’s something powerful about stepping out of your comfort zone, especially when you’ve been conditioned to stay small. These past few weeks have stretched me in the best way. Between DJ IamOneal’s fire mixes, our unfiltered conversations, and the love from listeners, I’ve felt more seen and heard than I ever imagined.

And the best part? This is just the beginning.

I’ve always used my voice to speak to millennial women of color but, now, I’m speaking with them in real time. We’re discussing love, culture, healing, boundaries, identity, and all the things that make us laugh, think, and evolve.

To the women reading this:
If there’s something you’ve been dreaming about — a new project, a new path, or a version of you that feels slightly out of reach , go for it.
Even if you’re scared.
Even if you don’t have it all figured out.
Even if no one else understands it yet.

This season is about becoming. Not just existing.

I’m only three weeks in, but I’m proud of this pivot. I’m excited to keep growing my platform as a voice for millennial women, especially those of us who are ready to reclaim our narratives on our terms.

So, here’s to doing it scared.
Here’s to betting on yourself.
And here’s to what’s next.

Let’s grow together.
