Hey girl, hey!
I know… it’s been a minute. And listen, I owe you consistency, but life has been lifing. Traveling out of the country, celebrating holidays, juggling work, school, and trying to mentally prepare for a whole new year? Whew. Overwhelming doesn’t even begin to cover it. But I’m here. And before this year officially wraps, I wanted to show up for one last Mindful Monday because 2025 deserves a pause even if it didn’t come with a neat little bow.
If I’m being honest, I still can’t find one word to fully describe how this year went. It was layered. Stretching. Beautiful in some moments and downright exhausting in others. But one thing is for sure: I’m still here. And sometimes that alone is the win.
As we head into 2026, my intention is clear. I’m nurturing me and everything attached to me, especially my businesses. I’m choosing self-care without guilt, travel without apology, and growth that allows me to thrive personally and professionally. The goal is to reach new heights in my career while staying grounded enough to avoid crashing out (because let’s be real… we’ve all been close at least once 😅).
Before we rush into new vision boards and resolutions, let’s slow down for a moment. Reflection isn’t about dwelling, it’s about learning. Here are four strong reasons why taking time to reflect on 2025 is necessary.
1. Reflection Shows You How Far You’ve Actually Come
We’re so focused on what we didn’t accomplish that we forget to acknowledge what we survived. Reflection allows you to recognize growth that wasn’t loud or flashy like setting boundaries, choosing peace, or simply not quitting when you wanted to. Progress doesn’t always look like milestones; sometimes it looks like resilience.
Ask yourself: Who was I at the beginning of 2025, and who am I now?
2. Reflection Helps You Identify Patterns
Whether it’s in relationships, work, friendships, or habits, 2025 probably revealed some patterns. Reflection helps you spot what drained you, what energized you, and what you need to stop repeating. Awareness is power. You can’t change what you refuse to acknowledge.
Think about it: What kept showing up in different forms this year?
3. Reflection Allows You to Release Guilt and Grace Yourself
Some goals didn’t get accomplished, and that’s okay. Reflection gives you permission to release the guilt of “I should’ve done more” and replace it with grace. Life happens. Growth isn’t linear. You did the best you could with what you had at the time.
Give yourself credit instead of criticism.
4. Reflection Prepares You for Intentional Growth
You can’t plan a powerful 2026 without understanding 2025. Reflection helps you move with intention instead of pressure. It allows you to set goals rooted in alignment, not comparison or panic.
Ask yourself: What do I actually want more of? Peace? Money? Stability? Joy? Freedom?
As we close out this year, take some time alone, with a journal, or during a quiet moment to reflect on what 2025 taught you. Think about what you want 2026 to look like, both personally and professionally. Not what social media says it should look like, but what you need.
For me, 2026 is about nurturing my spirit, protecting my peace, and thriving without burning myself out. It’s about growth that feels good and success that doesn’t cost me myself.
Now I want to hear from you.
