While certain foods can enhance your sex drive, there are others that are a complete no-no before sex.
Imaging having the perfect date night, and after a romantic dinner and steamy conversations, you’re in the mood to get busy in bed, right?
Oh but when your stomach decided to show up and show out! That’ll definitely kill the vibe. You might wonder what happened all of a sudden, but it’s the food you ate at dinner. We all know the kinds of food that can turn the heat up in the bedroom, but how about those that kill the vibe?
If you’re looking to get a little nasty with your partner avoid eating these foods before you get busy.
Alcohol
Drinking a cup of red wine could set the mood before sex, taking shots to the head can help too but, heavy drinking is not good before sex.
Alcohol can affect your sex drive. It is a central nervous system inhibitor, and you need the central nervous system for an orgasm.
Onions
I would think the pungent smell of onions makes them foods to avoid before sex. It’s obvious that they smell bad but they will give you bad breath. In addition, ladies, what you eat is what you will taste like.
Beans
Beans contain a type of dietary fiber that changes the way your bowel behaves. This is beneficial in some cases but not very comfortable if you’re about to have sex. Feeling your bowel movements will not be comfortable at all. Just imagine your stomach start bubbling in your favorite position. YEA… NOT GOOD.
Dairy
Stomach cramps and burping can be terrible sex drive killers. You can count cheese and dairy as foods to avoid before sex because they will cause those exact symptoms.
Fruits
Now ladies, here me out, I know fruits are healthy and have you tasting good but, fruits before sex is a no-no! Fruit digests really quickly and can lead to cramping, gas, and general discomfort. A few strawberries or pineapples along with some chocolate is the only fruit you should consider. Not a whole lot.
Coffee
I know as millennials we drink a lot of coffee. Some of us cant go without it. However, it raises your cortisol levels, which is the stress hormone. High amounts make it more difficult for your body to relax, and lower your libido. Many of women find it difficult to relax during sex and this could be a reason why.
Cruciferous Vegetables
If you eat brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and broccoli, make sure they are cooked well or else you’ll be gassy.
