Hey Sis! Happy Tuesday.. I hope your week is off to a great start. Mine has been productive but fun. If you can remember last week…. Girlllll I was going through it but, lets not talk about it. I was running to the bar for a Caramel Apple Martini. And yes I ordered several for me and the girls.

Tonight, I will be sipping on a Mean Girls inspired cocktail because I was invited to the Press Night performance of hit musical MEAN GIRLS in Birmingham,AL.

The classic movie that has been entertaining audiences since its release in 2004 is now touring in North America.

The movie follows the story of a teenage girl named Cady Heron who moves from Africa to the United States and struggles to fit in at her new school.

The movie is full of witty one-liners, hilarious characters, and a storyline that keeps you hooked until the end.

There are so many iconic scenes I think my favorite one is probably “Somebody wrote in that book that I’m lying about being a virgin, cause I use super jumbo tampons, but I can’t help it if I got a heavy flow and a wide-set vagina.”

Prickly Pear Margarita

Ingredients

1½ oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila
¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
½ oz. prickly pear purée
¼ oz. simple syrup
Optional: 2 dashes orange bitters
Garnish: lime wheel

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a tin shaker

Add ice

Shake vigorously

Strain into a small rocks glass

Add fresh ice and garnish.
