You can make a lot of warm memories with your loved one on winter dates, but there’s something about summertime that just spells romance. Let this be the time you focus on making memories with your favorite person. Pull out that old polaroid camera and live a little. Now you finally have an excuse to break out the picnic basket. You can decorate yourself or pay someone. You’re going to need a meal plan. Try not too take too much but definitely consider your partners favorite dishes. Also location is very important, you can pick a shaded area or enjoy the hot sun. Sit there and enjoy each others company.

2. Take A Wine Tasting Class

Maybe cocktails aren’t your thing. What’s a more romantic thing to do on a first date than a wine tasting? Relax and get to know each other over wine and a charcuterie board. Look on eventbrite and see when and where a wine tasting will take place. There has been a lot of wine festivals that you can attend too.

3. Take A Road Trip

I love a good road trip. You get to have great conversations and listen to each others music selections.

4. Cook A Nice Dinner Together

You could go out for a fancy meal, or you can try a unique date idea and make your own meal at cooking classes near you instead. Or you can do this at home. Maybe you and your date will find a new favorite dish! I would add a little decor as well.

5. Go Out For Ice Cream

If you know me, you know I love ice cream! This is the perfect date idea. Find a nice place where you and your partner can sample different kinds of ice creams. Maybe you can create your own depending on where you go.

6. Attend a Painting Class

Paint and sip is a great date idea for adults. You get to relax and chat with a glass of wine and maybe cheese and crackers while doing something fun and creative. There’s also no pressure to actually make something good. It’s all for fun! But we all know who’s painting will turn out the best!

7. Go To a Drive-Thru Movie

If your date is a movie lover, why not take them out to the cinema? You don’t have to see the latest movie, its all about the time spent. Consider films by local artists and other independent films that you never would have seen otherwise. Watching a movie is always a great way to relax, so why not enjoy the beautiful summer weather at the same time? Whether you go to a drive-in outdoor movie or set up a projector in your backyard, it’s a lovely and lowkey summer date idea.

8. Plan an Overnight Camping Trip

Camping and glamping is something I desperately want to do! ASAP! I want to camp in a luxury way. Even if it’s just a short overnight trip, camping is a fun and memorable experience that will leave you and your date feeling more connected to nature and each other. With all different kinds of camping options, from cabins to backcountry tents, everyone can enjoy this summer date idea, no matter their camping comfort level.

9. Rent Kayaks

Or canoes and explore a local waterway. I cant swim but I would love to try this. As long as I have a life jacket..I’m good. It’s a great way to explore nature as well.

10. Have Cooking or Baking Lessons

Learn a new skill or dish this summer. If you’re not the best in the kitchen this would be perfect. Hire a chef to come and teach you and your partner good basic dishes to prepare for one another. I’m not the best at cooking, maybe because I’ve never learned but, I would love to be the baker in the relationship. Why not learn with a partner?
