Fall Date Night Ideas

Sis, our favorite season is here! Fall is easily overlooked when it comes to romance. Whether you’re in a new relationship or have been with your babe for more years than you can count, all couples can benefit from a fantastic list of fall date ideas.

Now, the weather is cooling down, the leaves are changing colors, football season returns, and maybe you’ll indulge in pumpkin taste sweets.

Fall is also the start of cuffing season which is the perfect time to start dating or get closer to your current partner. Fortunately, there is a lot of fall dating ideas to help you and your boo get cozy this season, whether you’re in the mood for a fun, festive outing or a nostalgic night in I got you covered.

Go Camping and Light a Bonfire

Is there anything more romantic? You can either host a bonfire party with your favorite couple friends or set up a bonfire for just the two of you. Grab warm fuzzy blankets, a bonfire, and make some delicious s’mores while keeping each other company with amazing conversations. Make sure you have marshmallows chocolate and graham crackers.

Have a Wine-and-Paint Night

Am I the only one that thinks I’m a mini Picasso? Babyyyyyy, unleash your artsy side with a wine-and-paint date night. I recommend having it in the comfort of your own home to keep things extra cozy. Make it a surprise or the both of you can plan it. One person can pick up the supplies (acrylic paint, canvas panels, paintbrushes, and aprons) and the other can supply the wine. I would go as for as having the portraits drawn out by a local artist but, make sure it resonates with the both of you.

Visit a Haunted House

Going to a haunted house with a group of friends is one of my favorite things to do. Whether you scare easily or not, a haunted house is still sure to get your heart racing. This is the perfect time for your guy to hold you close like the protector he is… knowing damn well he’s scared for his life.

Attend a Football Game and Tailgate

It’s football season!! Not only is it football season homecoming season is near as well. Nothing says fall like a return to your alma mater for homecoming weekend. Grab your partner and show them a good time. If you attended an HBCU and your partner didn’t, it’s your job to introduce them to the culture. Also if he’s a football fan, find out who is his favorite team and grab tickets. From college games to professional ones, football games are always a thrill to watch, whether you do so from a bar, a stadium, or your living room.

DIY Your Own Candy Apples

Candy dipped apples is the thing now. If you have a sweet tooth and are looking for an activity to get in the fall and Halloween spirit, look no further than homemade candy apples. This can be super fun to make and even tastier to eat afterward. All you’ll need is a handful of ingredients (scroll through Pinterest for a recipe that catches your eye), plus apples. Once they’re coated in a caramel or sugar coating, you’ll be able to decorate them with sprinkles, crushed walnuts, or even M&Ms. One that I desperately want to make is apples with red velvet or strawberry crunch.

Visit a drive-in movie

Grab the popcorn, and each other and catch a Halloween or holiday movie. I prefer catching a classic movie that you both love. This date is sure to get the romance in high gear. Also grab a projector, and your wall will also do the trick for a DIY theater experience at home. Or, call a group of friends and get a movie night going in the back yard.

Take a cooking class

I need this desperately. Anybody that knows me know I cant cook! With the holidays right around the corner, now’s the time to start brushing up on your pie making and turkey-basting abilities. I would love to do this with a partner. Although he will have to take the lead, it’ll be a team effort.

Take a carriage ride

Imagine riding in a horse-drawn carriage through the city with your partner in your own little bubble. It’s giving Cinderella princess vibes. Doing this with your partner while cuddling is also a wonderful non-verbal way to let your partner know they are valued and loved and that you as their partner are invested in the relationship.

Make candles together

Creating your own candles and sipping wine is climbing its way to the top of romantic activities to do. This can be done at the comfort of your home or you and your partner or a group of couples can attend a class.

Take a hot air balloon ride

View the city with a romantic hot air balloon ride. This can be pricier than your average date night, but this idea is great for marking a special occasion, like your first date or an anniversary. To keep it even more cost-friendly, you could make it a group date with a few of your favorite couples.
