Create a Couple’s Vision Board Even If You’re Single

Curating a vision board for the new year has become a trend over the years for manifestation reasons. We all want some things to come to life but, we have to be able to see it to really believe it.

Vision boards, also known as dream boards or manifestation boards, are an enjoyable and imaginative method for couples to gain clarity on their objectives and have a visual reminder of these aspirations.

It’s important to remember that a vision board is a collection of pictures, words, and phrases that represent the goals and ambitions of a couple. It can serve as a useful tool for couples to dream, visualize, and plan for their future together. By creating a vision board together, it will inspire conversations and allow for collaboration in ironing out the details, enabling you to reflect on your shared dreams throughout the year.

Additionally, it can be a fun DIY activity that allows you to dream together and gain perspective as a couple. The key is to ensure that the vision board aligns with your aspirations as a couple and motivates you to stay focused on achieving your goals together.

Here’s what you will need to successfully complete your couple vision board.

First Start by identifying your shared hopes and objectives as partners. These may involve immediate goals like setting aside funds for a down payment on a house, or long-term aspirations such as embarking on exciting adventures across the world.

Gather materials To create your vision board, gather a large piece of poster board or foam board, scissors, adhesive, and various magazines, newspapers, and printed materials that can be cut and used.

Cut out images and words: Look through your collection of materials and extract pictures and words that symbolize your ambitions and desires. You can also incorporate inspiring quotes or affirmations that motivate you as a couple.

Arrange and glue: Once you have a collection of pictures and words, begin arranging them on your board. Use adhesive to securely attach them. You have the option to create a cohesive theme or simply enjoy arranging the items in a manner that holds significance to you.

Display your vision board: Position your vision board in a spot you frequently visit, like your bedroom or home workspace. This can serve as a constant reminder and bolster your drive and focus on your mutual goals.

If I’m being honest, this is the most traditional way to complete a vision board. However, for the last few years I’ve been doing mine digital.

I created my digital vision board using Canva. Click here to learn how I created my board and the templates I used.

FYI this is not just for couples. If you’re single I strongly suggest you do this activity. Think about your current dating life and what you want it to look like in the future. Doing this fuels your imagination.

  • What kind of man would you like to date?
  • What types of things would you enjoy doing?
  • What things would you like you and him to have in common?
  • What is an ideal first date to you?
  • What’s your idea of a dream date?
  • What dates speak to your love language?
  • Where are some places that you’ve always wanted to go?
  • What are both your short as well as your long-term goals when it comes to dating?
  • What are some words that you want to apply to your overall dating experience?
  • What would you like to learn about yourself from dating during this season of your life?
  • In what ways do you want to be chased?
  • What will you offer while dating?

Good luck on your couple’s vision board…. Post a pic in the comments so we can see it!
