Curating a vision board for the new year has become a trend over the years for manifestation reasons. We all want some things to come to life but we have to be able to see it. When you have a clear vision of what you want, it becomes easier to get into the mindset that will allow you to achieve those things.
Vision boards serve as a daily reminder of your goals. Ultimately, your thoughts align with them and manifest into actions that lead to success. In my opinion, creating a vision board is almost equivalent to the Bible scripture Habakkuk 2:2, write the vision make it plain.
What is a vision board?
Vision boards are a collection of images or objects arranged in a way to help you manifest your goals or vision. The board can be physical or digital.

What you will need..
Poster Boards
Old magazine or print online photos
Scissors
Glue Sticks or Tape
Pens, Markers or Paint
Before creating a vision board consider the following…
Clarify your vision
Collect images and objects that represent your vision
Arrange your materials
Finally Place your vision board where you’ll see it often
Now I have to be honest, for the last five years I’ve tried making a physical vision board. I have purchased posters, magazines, glue, large letters… everything thats basically needed but, I couldn’t produce one. The thought of creating one sounded great however I wasn’t ready. I had no clue as to what I wanted to do or the direction I wanted my life to go. I’ve just been winging it until 2022 when I finally created my first digital vision board.
Don’t get me wrong, I would write some things down but at some point I would lose the paper or never refer back to the journal or planner that I wrote them in, and forget about the goals that were set out to make.
Oh, and here’s another excuse… the magazines didn’t have anything I could relate to. Well its not an excuse its the truth but you get what I’m saying. LOL.
I created my digital vision board using Canva. I found some really cool templates that consist of picture collages that I thought would be easier for me to decorate. Before creating my vision board, I took out a blank sheet of paper and wrote down everything I wanted to manifest in 2022.
I closed my eyes and imagined what I wanted to manifest professionally and personally. Therefore I broke my vision board up into four sections.
Career- aspirations
Self-care
Travel
Love
Big Purchases
I ACCOMPLISHED THEM ALL!
I was very intentional about the vision I had for myself. I purchased a new car, started a new job, received more sports clients, got a life coach, did more self-care, attended professional games, started and stuck with my weight loss journey, increase my credit score and more.
Although my digital board was digital of course I printed copies to hang up in my office and in my bedroom. In addition, as a reminder, my visions board is my screen saver on my IPad and IPhone. I was reminded of my yearly goals everyday.
Now that you know how to create a vision board, hopefully you can see that it’s a fun and creative way to visualize and make your goals a reality. In addition, I strongly recommend getting a Life Coach. He or she will help you plan and most importantly hold you accountable. My life coach required me to plan the first quarter of this year.
Have you created a vision board for 2023? If not what’s stopping you? Gather some friends, buy a lot of materials, sip some wine and plan this year out using a vision board.
