Recently, I decided I wanted to level up in life. I wanted to level up in so many areas and becoming more feminine was one. Femininity isn’t easy to define but, you can figure out how to be more feminine in ways that feel natural to you. Being feminine is a state of mind, a way of living, and a set of beliefs. Also, it’s a style, and a way to do things.
A while back I told you I was living a soft girl life. I indulge in self-care, take care of my mental health, and most importantly I started a routine that makes me feel good.
Since leaving my toxic job and being blessed with another one that is way less stressful, my schedule is more flexible.
Ideally, I can wake up when I want but, I choose to still get up early spend time with God and go to the gym. While at the gym I get to catch up on a few podcast episodes or a show that I’ve been binging.
Secondly, ya girl has been working on her wardrobe. Growing up, I was a bit of a tomboy. If I’m being honest, sweatsuits, sweat pants and a tshirt, jeans and a tshirt is what I’m most comfortable in. However, since I’ve been on this feminine journey, I felt it was important to switch things up a bit while still being comfortable. As an author, blogger, award-winning journalist, influencer and a board member for several organizations, its important to look apart.
I’ve swapped out my t-shirts with chic, dressy tops and instead of jeans I wear slacks or tights. I’ve even tapped into pastel hues such as lavender, baby blue, coral, dusty rose, turquoise, mustard yellow, mint green, rust orange, soft pink, or a muted mauve for a pretty and delicate look.
I’m no makeup artist but I make sure I can give myself a nice beat everyday. Sometimes less is more which is why it is important that you keep your eyebrows groomed and follow a great skincare routine.
Eyebrows shape the face, frame the eyes, and literally frame the female face. Don’t let them grow bushy. Shape them and brush them while investing in good eyebrow products.
Maintaining personal hygiene and looking feminine go hand in hand. Set aside some time for grooming yourself, indulge in a relaxing shower, and keep your hair clean. Also shave, wax, or pluck out unwanted hair.
The more you take care of yourself, the more attractive you’ll be, and the better you’ll feel.
Most importantly ladies, keep those fingernails and toe nails groomed. Keep your hair fixed and maintained, take vitamins daily and visit a dentist often. All of these is what makes me feel confident in who I am.
Your positive mindset will shine through everything you do, and people will start seeing you as more confident and attractive.
Along with a pleasing outer appearance, your attitude and the way you carry yourself is just as important. I extend grace to every person I encounter. No matter what, while living this soft life, I don’t allow anybody or anything to stress me. If someone or something is trying to get me out of character I walk away from it. If its not bringing me peace I don’t want any parts of it.
If it does not serve me I don’t have to entertain it.
Femininity is attractive. As a young woman who desires to be loved and married, I had to understand that men are drawn to feminine energy.
When you act like a lady, you’re going to turn heads and make people take notice.
You feel good when you’re feminine, giving you more confidence and a greater sense of self-esteem. Moreover, the feminine aura conveys warmth and kindness and the fellas love that.
Lastly, being on this journey has allowed me to become vulnerable. I’m more open to receiving more than I use to give. I’ve always been the strong one that always had it figured out and dint need, want or asked for anything. Now, I embrace compliments, ask for help, and accept help.
I hope these steps will allow you to discover your true self, cultivate more confidence, and exude your femininity to the fullest.
