So… I Became a Newspaper Columnist!

What If the Dream You Wrote Down Actually Came True?

Have you ever written down a dream, prayed about it, and wondered if it would ever happen?

I have.

For the longest time, becoming a newspaper columnist lived on my vision board. It wasn’t just another career goal, it was something I truly believed God placed on my heart. As someone who has always loved writing, telling stories, and creating meaningful conversations, I knew one day I wanted a space where my words could consistently inspire, challenge, and connect with people.

Today, that dream has officially become a reality.

I’m excited to share that I’m officially a newspaper columnist for The Birmingham Times, where you’ll find my new column, Love & Lessons with Nicole Sade’.

If you’ve followed my journey over the years, then you know writing has always been at the center of everything I do. From publishing books and building my lifestyle blog to interviewing entrepreneurs, creatives, and community leaders through The Modern Standard, every opportunity has reminded me that writing can open doors you never imagined.

Honestly, it’s taking me further than I ever thought possible, but this column is about so much more than me.

Love & Lessons was created to start real conversations about the relationships we have with others and with ourselves. We’ll talk about dating, healthy relationships, communication, healing, emotional growth, boundaries, red flags, friendship, marriage, and all of the lessons life teaches us along the way.

I don’t believe relationships should only be discussed when they’re falling apart. I believe we should be having these conversations before we find ourselves repeating unhealthy patterns.

As someone who has spent years studying communication and psychology, I’ve developed a deep passion for understanding why we love the way we do, how our experiences shape our relationships, and what it truly takes to build healthier connections. My hope is that every column leaves you thinking, reflecting, and maybe even seeing yourself in a new way.

Whether you’re single, dating, engaged, married, divorced, or simply learning to love yourself again, there’s a seat for you in this conversation.

You can find Love & Lessons with Nicole Sade’ exclusively in The Birmingham Times. Pick up a copy of the Boosting Business edition from locations across the Birmingham area and join me for the very first installment.

Then do me a favor, snap a picture with your newspaper, share it on social media, and tag me! I’d love to see where you’re reading from and hear your thoughts on each column.

This is only the beginning.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my writing over the years. Every article you’ve read, every book you’ve purchased, every interview you’ve shared, and every encouraging message you’ve sent has helped make this moment possible.

Here’s to answered prayers, dreams written on vision boards, and trusting God’s timing, even when you can’t yet see the full picture.

See you in the next column.
