Who Are You Investing Your Time In

love-and-basketball

When it comes to dealing with certain people, we have a habit of sticking around way longer than we should.

If you get a mixed signal about someone and you feel they aren’t going to be loyal or give you what you want or need, go ahead and remove yourself from the situation ASAP. Sad to say the signs are there early on but we tend to ignore them.

We constantly invest our time into people who don’t deserve us.

We say maybe they will change or maybe I can change them. NO! You can’t, so stop it. I’m a firm believer that you can’t change a grown person and ladies…. If there’s one good word K. Michelle has given us over the course of her crazy career it’s the message that you can’t raise a man. And, to be honest, who the hell wants to?

Have you ever found yourself saying…..

“That was just a waste of my time?

of course you have. So always be careful on who you invest your energy into.

It may not be worth it!

Reflecting over these last five to six years there are a few people I invested my time in (especially “boys”) that I knew was not good for me. I gave them my energy when I knew I shouldn’t have. I second-guessed my gut feeling and eventually, certain situations ended badly. This is not just for boys but people in general. I’ve found myself wasting time and energy doing business with the wrong people as well.

So now I’m very cautious when meeting new people.

From experiences, I know it’s not easy cutting someone off, but you have to go with your gut feeling about people and your happiness. Lately, I’ve made it a priority to cut people off immediately when they show who they are and what they are about. If their energy does not line up with mine…… you gotta go!

Take a moment and think about the person you are currently dating or potentially interested in. Ask your partner what it is that they want when it comes to dating or being in a relationship. Make sure their actions lines up with their words.Do they meet your standards? Do they make you happy? Or are you wasting your time? Think about it! Leave a response below!
